About Us

The Piano Academy is a provider of musical education and piano lessons in the New York tri-state area. Established in 1994 by Dr. Phedy Pierre, the academy creates a friendly and social environment geared towards students of all ages. The success of the academy is attributed to its unique programs, professional staff and motivated students.
In its latest project, the Academy established classes in local private schools, giving children an opportunity to expand their musical horizons in a fun setting. In these classes, our instructors and students showcase their performances. In addition, our teachers give lectures on music. As part of our ongoing community outreach, the Academy also donates pianos. Our goal is to expose music awareness in children everywhere.
Coupled with traditional piano lessons, the academy has created of a wide-range of unique programs. These programs offer students an introduction to music and the piano. Students will learn the roots of music, and how it evolved into today's popular music. In addition, students will partake in piano lessons ranging from classical to jazz.
To accommodate the everyday demand of students, the academy offers convenience and flexibility. Its multiple locations include extended hours and an affordable price plan. In addition, the academy offers private lessons in the student's home.
The academy's remarkable faculty and staff are dedicated to preserving the intimate personalized environment that is unique among music schools. The staff has a proven track record of helping each student reach their goals - from playing a few songs to careers as performing artists.
